two examples of:

Characters written with a writers 'assurance' that they would come off as 'heroes' and sympathetic characters but today appear more ' obnoxious' than anything else. smiling smiley

I think they are examples of trying to fit just too many 'people' into ONE. IOW, an entire ideology into ONE person.

MASH... Hoolihan was person, Radar was a person, Col. Blake was a person, even Klinger was a person...

Hawkeye was a 'statement'. But even so, he had his moments. smiling smiley
