I simply didn't focus on Langford when I watched the Dolphins. From what I read and B&G posted, he seems like a 3tech all day. I feel Martin could excel there or as a as a 1tech. 0tech would also be fine. He can be stout, penetrate, or work his way down the line. Martin is very versatile in a 43.
I know what B&G posted but those were essentially stills from the 2011 season.
He had by FAR his best seasons playing the 7 technique in Miami's 3-4 defense.
Last year in the 4-3 he rotated quite a bit with Jared Odrick who actually played better.
That's why Miami was OK with letting him walk.
They actually had a better and cheaper alternative waiting in the wings.
They better still concentrate on DT.
