On the homepage where the boards are located top to bottom.....
It doesn't need dressing up. All it needs is a nice border instead of a thin line. The border should go all the way up to the banner pics on top too. That will tie it together and sort of contain it and change the look from incomplete to complete.Something gradient, maybe like an edge, or like its a big button? Sloping down to the outside edge. Maybe something to make it "feel" 3D like buttons on touch screen phones if you know what I mean?
Also, this is just a thought. The blue border now called "announcements".....maybe throw a set of quicklinks there in larger font to each of the boards so its more like a "browser" feel or a typical program that people would open like word or excel with selections on top. Yes it would be redundant, but thats what software is right?
Is the big The Original HERD's Message Board System going to stay up there?
I think the word "HERD" on the banner needs to pop more. It's almost buried in blue hues. And the font is to small. The board is the HERD, so that should be dominant in the banner. Give it some @#$%&!!! If you lighten the background and enlarge the font, shrink the players a bit I think you have it. Maybe put the words "Dedicated Rams Fans" under the blue banner where the main header is. Sort of a sub header. Spread out evenly along the entire header, gold letters, oulined heavily in blue.
All that should take just a few minutes right?
