posting columns of numbers. . .

How come the site won't accept readable columns of numbers? I posted something and spent hours upon hours making sure it was easily read. Then when I posted my hard, sweaty work it went right back to the original form. So whassup wit dat? I literally worked my fingers to the nubs.. . for naught.
