We know he is fast and he can move, but a couple things I really like that I am seeing consistently... The End Zone, he seems to both expect and look for the end zone every time he touches the ball. This is not something you can really coach, it comes from being used to getting in the end zone. He has plenty of practice scoring TDs. I noticed in college too how he simply handed the Ref theby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Would you have hated drafting Barry Sanders? He is only 5'8"by headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I am guessing any team that wants to trade down needs partners and needs them think their pick is valuable. With the Rams having 2 first rounders, they would always just think about them, because it is an easier argument. We know there are a lot of one-sided, ulterior motive leaks this time of year. It is impossible to know. 1. It is true, the Rams want to move up 2. It is not true, theby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I am a bit tired of all the talk, we just need to wait and see, but one thing we learned through this situation is that the Rams don't fully trust Saffold. He was a total steal in the 2nd round and his rookie year he was a shining pick that had other GMs kicking themselves in the butt. It did not appear that LT was one of our needs, and yet it became our biggest FA pick up. Why? I am guesby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
The best part is that he when he was drafted it was assumed he would play RT, but he surprisingly (or not so surprisingly in hindsight) beat out Smith, the top pick from the year before. He had no expectations of being a LT out of the gate but he did what a respected football player does, he went out there and won it. Now, if you want to play LT on this team, beat out Long ,otherwise shut up anby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
that figure was falsely reported, we are waiting for the contract details still, if it is 8 million a year I will say no way to that signing, but if it is half that I am ok with it.by headslapper - The Original HERD
That is exactly what I said as soon as Bradshaw was released.by headslapper - The Original HERD
The old system ruined you if you picked high and missed (i.e. Jason Smith) but you are fine if you pick high and hit (i.e. hopefully Bradford). The new system rewards you early for hitting in the draft, but there will be a day you have to pay. The bonus is the first two or three years, of you get some outstanding rookies or sophomores, but perennial winners don't rely on rookies as much as bby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
These contracts are opposite of what we see with other teams. the Rams philosophy is to front load and pay players up front and as they get older their cap hit is less. If you need to cut them for some reason there is no dead money. The downside is that with a backloaded contract you might have some dead money with a signing bonus, but if you cut a guy you free up more room (for example SJ).by headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I understans his desire to be a FA and go to a winner, but there is no way he will get as much money from the Rams or anyone else if he voids his contract. I think the Rams want him to become a free agent more than he should. Everyone talks of him as a FA but I just don't see it. It will be his last year to make a good salary. On another note, what do you think of Ahmad Bradshaw, I woulby headslapper - The Original HERD
If anyone had a come to Jesus meeting with Fischer it would have been the defensive coaches, it was after their meeting with him, and I am guessing the other coaches must have had concernsby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
What an upgrade imo. This coaching staff has to be the greatest we have seen since the Dick Vermiel days! This was the main thing I was excited about when we first joined the Fischer sweepstakes, I am so glad to see it continues. I just do not know who you get as a DC to lead all these amazing coaches.by headslapper - The Original HERD
Jim Thomas @jthom1 Rams expected to reach out to recently fired Cleveland defensive coordinator Dick Jauron for their now vacant DC job. Expand This is JTs tweet, although knowing JT it could be his own expectation that he is referring too.by headslapper - The Original HERD
Great things I love about this team: 1. I love the gang tackling, especially in the backfield It was great seeing Sanchez falling down with a Rams QB disease, we are bringing it and instead of taking now! 2. The deep ball. Yes, Sam throws a nice deep ball and it is good to see it being used. Questions/Disappointments: 1. Does anyone else think the Jenkins fumble recovery TD is not aby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
The only thing I could see is it would be for an OT. But if they did, they should at least swap their 2nd rounders tooby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I thought you were going to say..."everything" how long is it, how much money, what are the parameters, what is his relationship if any with the assistants, who was involved in the decision, were they any other candidates, etc?by headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I think this is Rob Ryan's lucky day. He will not screw up our defense, he will bring some energy and he will be surrounded by top notch and disciplined defensive minds. He will adjust to what we are already doing, and with or without him we will improve. He will come out looking great and having the best numbers of his career. This was a no brainer for him, but I am not sure what is in iby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I am guessing he was cheaper than what Greg Williams originally got, not a big deal with money, and I wouldn't be surprised if the total budget was even lowerby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
His recovery is amazing, I love his ball awareness (especially in that Redskins pick, he was more aware than the receiver). His recovery speed and reactions allow him to look back and get a read on the ball. I especially loved seeing him playing the outside run. You get a good corner who can cover and pick AND plays the outside run....man, that is a dream.by headslapper - The Original HERD
That seems to be the real question. Of course if he would sign for what we want then it is a no-brainer. The real question is what will he get on the open market. I think he may be disappointed, due to his size and injury history, but I do know New England loves him and it only takes one team. It is hard to nail it down. What teams like him? Of those teams, what do they have already tiedby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
It was more in jest really, but I do think a few special plays with simple routes designed for him to go deep would be fun to work in eventually. He is a natural with the ball in his hands, then again he is running it back against offensive players who are not tacklers, so take it with a grain of saltby headslapper - The Original HERD
Here is a great highlight video. A few things: SJAX is awesome, we need to resign him Our DL is sick, I think it is a front that every team will fear. Half of our interceptions were due to the rush. Just awesome team work there. Bradford can throw, I know there is a lot of concern, but you see him adjust his throw, flick it 40 yards, throw bullets, put touch on his passes, throwby headslapper - The Original HERD
This team really came along mid season. There is a marked difference between the first 8 and the last 8. It is hard to say how we would play GB and NE now as this very young team started to figure it out after those gemes imoby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I remember that and liked the idea, and definitely saw it with our CBs. Here is the next question though. Was the plan before the draft to make CB a place of strength or did become the plan when Jenkins was on the board? In other words did the Jenkins pick trigger the Tru pick? Will one of our firsts or our second rounder determine our third? I would not be surprised to see us get an OTby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum

I know when I was coaching and I had WRs for example. I hated it when my best athletes couldn't run the plays. Maybe that guy would get in there and make a play now and then and everyone would see it, but no one knew how many plays he blew up. When a guy doesn't make a block, or runs the wrong route, all anyone sees is the sack or pick. I have no idea since I have not seen much of him atby headslapper - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
agree that is not a big deal but i disagree that it was because Fisch has a better coach in mind. Sounds to me like the whole staff and team got a long great and this guy was an ass. One disruptive force in an otherwise enjoyable and unified group is not worthy any amount of coaching.by headslapper - The Original HERD
We had 57 sacks in 1999, but we also were playing with a lead. To get as many sacks as we did this year without having an explosive offense that made teams play catch up or have to throw a ton is amazing. Quinn should get better, Brockers should get better, hopefully we keep some guys in place and improve, but I believe the biggest improvement in our sack total will be from an improved offeby headslapper - The Original HERD

I am guessing the idea is that play action is only effective after you have set up the run. Not sure, but it seems most effective when you get a few good runs off and make the defense start over playing that.by headslapper - The Original HERD
