Correct, but what was the offense to land him a 1 game suspension? The sky is not falling, I know that. Just wondering what Rok did.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I completely agree with this evaluation. We are taking all the proper steps to becoming a "winning franchise" for years, not just a flash in the pan 1 and done team. Snead is doing a heck of a job getting us players, Fisher has on hell of a staff that can really coach football. Above all, Jeff Fisher is as good of a leader as you will find. He's steady, smart, willing to take aby oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
You can no longer just get by on God Given talent...... This is the NFL.......You need to work, have desire to put in 100% effort in EVERYTHING from practice, film study, preparation, playbook, ect. Some kids get it, some kids don't..........There's thousands of football players that would love to play your position, if you don't love the game and give it your all, 1 of them will take yourby oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Simply put, Fisher coached him. That's all I need to know. He knows his ability, his work ethic, his football IQ and how he is as a teammate. Fisher went and got a weapon and mismatch in Cook. It's not a roll of the dice and wishful thinking. He was targeted and signed early in FA. Then, we go get Jake Long........This offense will be light years better than last season.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Think about it. 1. Last season we had only 1 rec the defense had to worry about and that was Givens. 2. This season we have Givens, Austin, Cook and Bailey....not to mention Petis. My god, who is the defense going to cover????? Now, throw in Quick, in his 2nd season and no longer a rookie. I'm telling you guys, we are scoring points!!!!! Quick is going to be a very BIG mismatch and he's gby oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Long was the guy I wanted from Day 1 in FA. Always thought it was just a pipe dream though. It's a great job by the Rams to go get this guy in his prime......Then, go get Austin . Just proves they had a plan.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
The offensive improvement on this squad is going to be HUGE! Like you said, Greg Z does not have to kick it into orbit every time he kicks a FG. The offense can sustain a drive and the "D" won't have to play with bad field position. It's all going to come together this season, I can just feel it.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
He was given all the chances he needed to be on the team. He simply was not good enough to play pro football in the NFL.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
That should be part of the arsenal IMHO..... Move Austin all around the offense, spread the "D: out then, quick hitter on first sound to any of our scat backs to pop it quick.......Not to mention some "Wildcat" formations.........This offensive team should be putting up a lot of points......Move the chains, keep our defense fresh......Best of all, Bradford is in his 4th year. I'm feeling very confident in our squad. Fisher will get these kids playing football. We are going to be tough to beat. I LOVE IT!!!!by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
The "D" gets better because now they will be playing less possessions, better field position, ect. If the offense can just "MOVE" the ball better, then the entire team gets better......Score 7 pts. more a game and we go off the charts in more ways than one as a team.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
If so, based on last years scores.........We are at 10-6.......That's all we have to do, score 1 more touchdown a game and our record goes to 10-6 overall.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I know, but I was just thinking maybe he was thinking of a WR he had on his mind...... I really think that our draft this year was VERY GOOD.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Just wondering who he is referring to.....Just love the draft this season......by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Always thought I would be taking my kids to mini camp, rookie camp, 2 a days....ect. Then BAM! One day the Rams move from L.A. and it's all gone......It Sucks! But, at the end of the day, I'm still a DIE HARD RAM FAN!!!!!!!!!! Man, I'm already excited for the season. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I think it's simple.............Pead never experienced failure in football. That was the problem. He was probably always starting from PeeWee football to College. He was always the star. He got by on talent alone. He never really had to study the playbook or learn how to pass protect. He was usually one of the best players on the field..... Welcome to the NFL........Where EVERYONE is BIG, Fby oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Exactly......You don't play 3 different O-Line positions under Nick Saban without being a damn good football player. When I saw Jones sitting there in RD4, it was like a no brainer pick for the Rams.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
You can cut your body fat......add muscle........and you will weigh more, but you will also be in better overall shape.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
He's tough and definitely a step up from Dahl.......and Dahl started for us last season. I love the competition at safety.........It's going to be very interesting in the secondary this off season.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Adding weight is not always a good thing. For example, when I was in College going into training camp the most I weighed was 175, but I could bench 325 and still run a 4.5. After 2 a days and going into the first game I was at 170 pds......I was a 5'8" cornerback. Obviously, I was not a big guy, but the trainers said that pound for pound I was the strongest player on the team. So, to mby oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I agree.....Watching Harbaugh go nuts is priceless.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Again, having the pieces now gives us flexibility we have not had in a while. We can exploit mismatches on the opposing defense. It all translates into one thing......SCORING POINTS!!!!!! Scoring more points means......WINNING!by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
That is an awesome pic of SJ.....Willis...Hahahahaha.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
WOW!!!!!! I totally agree............Move Austin ALL AROUND in the offense and make the defense adjust accordingly. RB to WR to Slot to MOTION, the choices are endless...............Then, when the defense is on their heels, you just sit back and let Sam fling the football all over the field. Should be a very exciting season my friends.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Thinking it is one thing......Flat out coming out and saying it.......Hilarious!!!!by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Let see the kids play first. They may be a solid group but let them break a sweat in practice first.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I was going to say the same exact thng! I think our 5 WR's are going to be a great group and we are going to put up A LOT of points this season.by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I love them!!!!by oldschoolramfan - The Original HERD
They are awesome....by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Doesn't anyone think that.....Alcohol, drugs and losing all the money you made in the NFL form gambling or poor money management have something to do with suicidal thoughts and depression?by oldschoolramfan - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
