It's too bad he's so polarizing, one of the greatest QB's ever. As long as he's not beating the Rams, I don't mind him at all. I do think he's ready to leave GB and this game helps grease those skids. Even though it wasn't anything he did directly, this loss only reinforces the perception that he struggles in the post season. For a long time, I've felt like he was destined for the Broncos.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm very curious to see if watching his protege's will benefit McVay? Cincinnati and GB have provided a ton of film for McVay to analyze. What's working, what's not, the best approach to how defenses are playing his offense. It really has been a unique opportunity for him this post season. The last game against the Cardinals showed a real no-nonsense approach on offense and I imagine he'llby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit Could they have won this game under the conditions in which it was played?Anything's possible but our defensive special teams are not nearly as strong as what the 49ers provided. A blocked kick and a blocked punt in one game is a lot to ask of our group IMO. And that was the difference in the game. Maybe the Rams score more on offense but I don't know that the defense would hby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Very shrewd move to get rid of Hadl when he did. Coming off of an MVP season, it was a bold move. While it netted the Rams a lot, they never really solved their QB issue. Not that keeping Hadl would have been a solution, considering how quickly he hit the proverbial wall. But after saying goodbye to Gabriel and Hadl, the Rams spent a long while before having another potential franchise QB. Tby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_81 Stories of lacking confidence are interesting. When he was with Green Bay, they said he lacked confidence and when he was this the Rams he had total confidence. Did Martz's preparation make the difference? Kurt was ready for anything another team came at him with and welcomed the blitz.I would say no. QuoteRam_Ruler If there were ever a game to play a little man coverage it's this one. No Chris Godwin, no Antonio Brown, now it sounds like perriman and their receiver 3 are also likely out. Ronald Jones is out too.A depleted opponent suggests an advantage for the Rams but unfortunately, this is a Tom Brady team. All of these missing players isn't a disadvantage for the Buc's, it's a storyline fby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Someone posted in the comments that that was the last good thing to happen to the Rams until the GSOT in 1999. And it's hard to argue. The next week they got crushed in the NFC Championship game 30-3 by the 49ers, Everett went from the heir apparent to Chrissy and the team started it's rapid decline, ultimately resulting in them moving after '94. I suppose there must have been something good aby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
What was it with the Rams and undersized QB's? Haden, Kemp, Brock...Kemp looks like a little kid behind that line.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Kurt became synonymous with #13. You may remember he started as a Ram with #10. But did you remember that he actually wore #12 for the Packers before Aaron Rodgers? How's that for some useless trivia? ;)by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLaloRam sheer volume versus those other QB's. I think his numbers are low just because he's had decent OL play. However, how about these calls as a percentage of the pass rush pressure. In other words, as a percentage of the time that the pass rush actually gets to him (sacks) or he gets pressured? Just curious. His overall "rate" may be lower but as you say, that has more to doby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think it's a joke. Donald is clearly seen with his hands around a guy's throat. Again. It would be all too easy for the league to discipline him and no one could really argue about it. Donald better get that crap under control.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't think much about it at the time, assuming the Cardinals player instigated things but this article makes it look like Donald is getting a reputation as a bit dirty. Seems unlikely that the league would suspend him but we are talking about a Brady game. Nothing is impossible in that regard and with the Buc's dealing with a lot of missing players, does the league step in and level the plaby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Will Aaron Donald get suspended for Buccaneers game over Wild Card punch? Aaron Donald got heated in the Los Angeles Rams’ Wild Card game against the Arizona Cardinals. What will the NFL do to address his actions? Things got a little tense in the Wild Card matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. QuoteAlbaNY_Ram IIRC the Cards first five possessions yielded *zero* first downs. Four 3-and-outs and a pick six on 3rd down. The defense came out on fire, and whatever it was that made that happen I hope they do it again on Sunday.Rams are just a bad matchup for the Cardinals and the Cardinals were playing poorly overall and they essentially didn't have a healthy Conner. I'd say the biggest difference is AZ not having Hopkins. Since he went out, they are a totally different team. His presence opens everything up for them on offense.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Another hidden play was the first down swing pass to Akers that got called back. But it helps illustrate how much potential he has out of the backfield. There weren't many plays like that tonight but I think McVay is keeping that in his back pocket until it's really needed. Akers took that pass at the line of scrimmage, juked the defender out of his socks and easily got down the sideline forby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Obviously, all that leadership was the difference. Seriously though, this was Stafford's best overall game in a long time, if not ever as a Ram. The numbers weren't there but he was Elway like in just doing what was necessary to win. No mistakes. Running when nothing was there. Not forcing anything. If we get this Stafford next week, we'll win again. Defense, ST's also played well. Grby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteStafford9 The best he can do is break even. Playoff game at home, where he is the favorite, he has to win.I agree. If he loses, it just reinforces the stigma. If he wins, he was supposed to and it changes nothing. But, he does have to win to even have a chance of changing he narrative. That's going to take at least a NFCC win though.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Sadly, that's the reality and hopefully Stafford isn't hampered by it. Sort of unfair to saddle a guy with anything less than a SB win is a disappointment, but that actually is Stafford's role. I'm sure he aware of it and accepting it but I don't think that's going to help him play loose. Maybe it focuses him but usually, guys press and play tight under those expectations and pressure. As long as Stafford doesn't literally make a show of taking a hypothetical monkey off his back when we win, I'll be happy. I get so sick of that Steve Young clip.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Is the first half vs. the second half. How physical was SF against us when WE were motivated? When we came out and matched and then outdid their intensity, it was no contest. When we tightened up and put it in cruise control, WE let them back into the game. But, if the Rams are playing and not trying not to lose, they are fine and can compete without issue.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBumRap Dak is better than our QB. We need our qb to finish with a better result. ThatIt's a matter of circumstance to some degree though. If our defense holds, Stafford is the one who came back in the 4th quarter and threw the big TD to Kupp to take the lead. The lasting impression is the underthrown ball to OBJ but under normal circumstances, Stafford should have walked away with a big wiby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit If the 49ers couldn't win in Lambeau, I don't see how the Rams would be able to. The 49ers are a much tougher team than the Rams are. They are tough but at some point, the mistakes have to catch up to a team.
