Can't win with a QB who can't see the field or read a defense. McVay can't run his offense with Goff. Goff is garbage. No-name Wolford had a better grasp than Goff in just 2 games. That's very telling. I thought it was too soon to give up on Goff but now I think they are forced to cut bait and move on.by moklerman - Game Time Forum

I'm sorry but Goff doesn't even look like an NFL QB at this point. "If"...and this is a big if, we win today they need to get Bortles up to speed ASAP.by moklerman - Game Time Forum
would be a perfect opportunity for him to reestablish himself but it looks like he's just show how hamstrung McVay has been because of him. Goff looks awful. Can't find open receivers and is forcing a pass into triple coverage to Kupp?!? Wolford really does give us a better chance to win at this point.by moklerman - Game Time Forum
QuoteBerendsenRam It wasnt him inside the the 5 twice that blew it otherwise our Rams would have added 2 TDs down there. Akers fumbled and Everett dropped a beautiful pass right in his worse spot his hands. I have been watching a nice hour long breakdown of his performance and it pretty kool. QuoteBerendsenRam All his Teammates Hopes and Dreams are in his hands, as in the NFL now there is Roster turnover of 20-30% each yr and this group will never be together again and to have a Defense this special and to waste it would be a brutal shame. The odds of it being this great next yr is doubtful. Many of us long long time Rams Fans will then be forced to relive the 70s all over again, so sby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSB34RAMS1 My guess is, they start Goff with a very short leash. Under deress in a tiny pocket is alot different than practice without a defense coming. Also the turnovers, SM has a built in excuse if things are not going well.If they're giving Goff practice reps, I hope he's getting ALL the reps and is going to start. Otherwise, Wolford should be getting all the reps. I really hope thiby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It's interesting how people view things so differently. I'm not sure how many injuries Watson has had but he hasn't missed much time. He's started 47/48 games the last 3 years and made the pro bowl each of those years. This year, after they took away DeAndre Hopkins, he had his best season as a pro. 70.2%, led the league in passing yards(4,823), 33TD/7INT, 112 rating...again, without Hopkins,by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Granted, Wolford doesn't have as much experience as Garcia did but he isn't as green as a QB coming out of college. Most didn't put much credence in the NFLE but just being on the field with other professionals is what many QB's need. The AAF wasn't the NFL but I'd consider it comparable to NFLE so those 8 games of experience for Wolford will be invaluable. Today's game won't be too big for hiby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills well you might based on this one game but most people don’t evaluate QBs based on that what was clear tonight Clemson really had trouble upfront upfront with OSU dline and they didn’t get it fixedI'm still wondering why Lawrence is considered a once in a generation talent? QuoteOhiorams I see a little of Drew Brees, Russell Wilson and Baker Mayfield I believe he got better after College playing in AFF and with Rams for about 1 1/2 years. Pretty sure Neuheisel said he can make all the throws and one of the online "scouts"(I guess) said he could make all the throws. I've heard it a couple of different places. Hopefully all of this mess leads to Goff doing whatever it takes to up his game. I think it's clear he has pretty high character but this question of complacency has me wondering about his motivation. He set up a passing camp this off season for he and his receivers so he's at least somewhat motivated/dedicated. But laid back only works when you're putting up numbers. We aren't that far down the road with Goff yet. I'm pretty dissatisfied with his production but I don't think there's any way the Rams give up on him at this point. But the stage is being set for Goff's job, for the first time, to not be secure. Hopefully Wolford has a strong showing and nice run to end the season and it causes pressure for Goff to up his game. You're right and I agree. I've been banging that drum for a while now. Goff has actually been performing at this level since after the '18 KC game. The HC, scheme, receivers, running backs and OL have all been blamed for his decline. But the one constant has been Goff. Now we get to find out if the obvious answer is the right one. Quotezn People who try the "too categorical" take are not very useful or helpful. We know there are games where there was heavy pressure and Goff came through and they won. Anyone who tries the "absolutist" version is just leaving facts out. As much as I'm ready for someone else to get a shot, Trubisky is an example of a guy looking like he's totally ineffective but finding a way to come back better. With the money the Rams have tied up in Goff, they probably have to take that path. As far as other QB's, I think there are many who would thrive under McVay. QuoteSpeed_Kills this is all they are asking him to doI just don't get it. The OL was one of the highest graded units for much of the year. QuoteSpeed_Kills what I am saying is I don't have any huge expectations I mean it just won't take a ton for him to play better than Goff has the last 3 weeks and he certainly can throw 5 to 6 yards passesI agree, it won't take a whole lot to replicate what Goff has been doing. QuoteLMU93 No, regarding yesterday and the Jets game I understand that. There are OL issues popping up, and I wonder if it is that either they are wearing down to some extent or the predictability/limits of the offense are allowing defenses to be more aggressive.
