QuoteRockRam For Pete's sake. The Saints were spotted a 13 point lead and couldn't hang on for victory. It was in their house. It came down to a couple of clutch GZ Field Goals. And the entire sports media world.....and some here on this board....think the outcome of this game came down to one blown call? QuoteRamUK We are not ONLY in the Super Bowl because of one call. Yes, it played a pivotal part, but to say something like that undermines a great fightback and a tremendous season. I can recognize it was a poor decision in the same way that AD was held all freakin season with rarely getting a call or Goff being face-masked today. The Saints didn't lose because of that call, they lost beby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRamUK Every single game has crappy calls. Seriously, every freakin one. No exception. That's true but I think fans who have criticized the Patriots and any other team for benefiting from such game changing, timely bad calls would be hypocritical in just brushing off the non-PI as unimportant to the outcome of this game. This all may be true. Goff obviously has talent. So, let's look at another example for a moment. The WCO was "the" system back in '80's and no one ran it better than Joe Montana. Eventually, he moved on to KC and as old and broken down as he was, he showed he could play outside the 49ers. Steve Young came along and bested Montana's numbers but in his career, he never really provedby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

What each person has to decide is if they believe that any of these multi-billion dollar sports leagues are on the up and up. Considering how I feel about the NBA, Soccer, Boxing, etc., I don't think it's hard to imagine the NFL being just as manipulative. Considering what has happened to the Rams in particular with the Spygate episode for example, I can't honestly believe that they aren't abovby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Sorry, I can't add much to those questions. Steelers were before my time and the NBA is so rigged that it's like asking if boxing is fixed. Shaq letting the air out of the balls would be along the same lines though. As great as Shaq was, it's ridiculous that he couldn't shoot better. QuoteLMU93 Like a lot of things, players rarely ascend with such smooth consistency one game/year after the other. Through 11 games he was lights out, no question. Against Chicago he got mauled- and in part because the OL collapsed that game and their play calling wasn't great. But he did not play well. BUT it was on the road against the league's best defense. QuoteAlbaNY_Ram I agree with your take on the change in the Rams strategy on offense but I have a question: why hasn't abandoning the longer passes led to an increase in completion percentage?I also wonder why Goff isn't as efficient as he was before. The numbers support the idea that something is off with Goff. His passer rating has been about 30 points lower the last six games compared to what he did up to KC. Had he not been able to play against SF's backups it'd be an even bigger gap. He has been taking care of the ball more the last couple of games and has been more accurate more often but he's not right IMO either.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
