Quotezn Quotemax Losing to AZ is a total collapse. The Cards OL is a mash unit. Rosen got destroyed last week. I think they benched him. The only way the Rams lose this game is if the Rams offense plays like they did in Chicago, only against an inferior defense in a nice climate. If that happens, this team is done for the year with one of the worst end of season collapses in NFL historby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Since you're looking forward to next year, what do you think about the defensive scheme? IMO, that's a MUCH larger problem than any of the particular players in it. I think of it akin to what the offense was in '16. There were good players there too but they just weren't being put in good situations. Wade's defense pretty much sucks at this point so these guys who have talent look a lot worseby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
PFF also had this to say from that link: Goff was off target all game. This was never more on display than the last pass of the game, where he was unable to keep the ball low enough to give his wide receiver even a chance to bring in the ball. On top of that, Goff also threw two interceptions, one being a throw that he should never have tried after falling down after his foot was stood on andby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotezn QuoteNewMexicoRam Just saying. Well I agree, if you mean what I think you mean, that this is just a "blip" on JG's trajectory. 3rd year qbs have games like that. Plus here's what I see. I'm not seeing all of this incredible pressure and o-line breakdowns that are supposedly cause for Goff having so many recent problems. Not in the Philly game anyway. Only got touched once in the first quarter that I saw and there was no pressure on the poor pass to Reynolds on the sideline that was intercepted.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
We can't really have a conversation about ambiguous situations that you come up with though. Nothing you mention is measurable or clearly defined so anything I offer can be shot down because the examples are your own subjective interpretation. Quotezn Quotemoklerman 2017. How is he doing now? Do you think he's handling pressure this year as well as he did last year? That's an innate thing. Handling pressure. The question is how much, and that means the issue is the OL. So the issue is the amount of pressure. (Chicago--a bit more than 50%). I can't think of any qb who has handled THAT level of pressure. There is a lot to like about Goff but I don't think anyone's forgotten that he "can" do good. They're questioning why he is currently struggling to do the things he was so recently showing that he could do. Why has the early morning studying not been translating to good decision making on game day? The dedication and work ethic need to start leading to on field production.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRampage2K- It almost feels like Goff just doesn’t trust Reynolds at all in those 50/50 balls that he would with woods or Kupp. Reynolds just doesn’t have any fight in him it seems when he’s covered... nor the wiggle that Kupp had We are sorely missing Kupp especially against better defensesKupp and Goff certainly seemed to have better synergy but I think Reynolds has talent too. Quotewaterfield Absent pressure Goff is a very good qb. Good enough to take this team far into the playoffs. The single most important thing in developing a great offense is the O line. More important than a quality qb. This according to the great Sid Gillman. Next the D secondary. Once those two groups are in place then-and only then-look to the skill players. QuoteRamUK Quotemoklerman There really isn't a whole lot for the Rams to gain by playing Gurley the last two games so I wouldn't mind seeing him get the next 2(hopefully 3) weeks off and coming back strong for the playoffs. Thanks for the link and it's pretty much what I was fearing. On that last play for example, not only did Goff overthrow Reynolds(again), he had Everett down the middle for an easy TD to tie the game. It's hard for me to blame McVay or his scheme too much when Goff just isn't seeing the field, reading defenses or making good throws. QuoteDeadhead Ram Never heard of him.I get that you're joking but with all the talent the Rams have in personnel, don't you think this is a coaching/scheme issue with this defense? Quotejemach at the end of the 1st half? Lol..that throw was as sad as Goff's accuracy! The decision to throw to Reynolds was completely separate from the actual throws that were uncorked.
