Good rookie pairing by Snisher for Ogletree.by PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
So it seems lots of Rams fans are still high on Pead. I actually voted for Stacy, but he has been a personal favorite of mine for a while, so I hold him in very high regard. Should be a great battle in camp/preseason.by PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum

This is one of the things that is getting me most excited about the coming season. Every team in this division are in a pissing contest to see who can outmatch their NFC West opponents in the physicality department on the defensive side of the ball. Looking back at last months draft, the Rams added a physical LB in Ogletree and a physical S in McDonald, and both are expected to start. The 49erby PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum

If the Steelers feed him the carries and stop switching up their RB`s so much, Bell could win ROY. My best bud is a Steelers fan, but not a big draft guy. I told him he should be pretty pumped about getting Bell. Bell could give the Steelers that legit, big, full time, workhorse RB that they haven`t had since Bettis.by PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Personally, Stacy is my guy and see him as a stud Doug Martin type #1 RB who can move the chains and get YAC. I still really like Richardson`s explosiveness and ability to catch the ball and run between the tackles. Pead is the fastest of the bunch and its hard not to get excited about his speed in the 4.3`s. I kinda get that feeling that its boom or bust for him. Fish got his boys, just like he got Finnegan last year and now they must perform..by PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Fish has been following TJ`s career closely at USC and is friends with his dad. I think he was just afraid of not getting his guy and fearing another team would have the same interest. I doubt the Rams had some inside information on another team being heavily interested in him. My guess is that McDonald would have been available at #90 in round 3, but we will never be able to prove that. Iby PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
SJ just toped (1,042) 1K last season with his 257 attempts. With Pead apparently working his way more into the backfield this season, along with Richardson, I`m not so sure Stacy will get the amount of carries to top 1K. It will be up to Schotty. I just hope if Stacy has a great camp/preseason, they keep him as the featured back, even if that means a 2nd round pick is sitting on the sidelinby PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum

I understand that it was Kroenke`s money that bought Fisher. This is just a guess, but I would say that Fisher was targeted by Kroenke/Demoff long before the end of the 2011 season. Obviously, there were not many big name coaching candidates at the time, so there is a good chance Fisher would be the Rams head coach regardless if Demoff worked for the organization or not, but I do think Demby PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Kroenke is not a true football guy, and I believe he put a lot of his trust in Demoff in the Fisher and Snead hiring selection. Demoff`s dad represents Fisher and Demoff already had a relationship in place with Snead. Would Fisher and/or Snead even be here if it weren`t for Demoff? I agree that they have to win something first before anyone is given credit for anything, but things are deby PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
If it weren`t for Kroenke & Demoff, Fisher would not be here. If it weren`t for Demoff & Fisher, Snead would not be here. So I would say in order: 1) Kroenke/Demoff 2) Fisher 3) Snead Most importantly, we have an owner who lets his trio of guys make the decisions and they all work very well together.by PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Off the top of my head, I can think of a dozen good OT`s, and the Rams wont need a LT, so I`m thinking they could get a very good RT in round 2. Grab a stud DT (Jernigan) and one of the top FS`s (Reynolds, Clinton-Dix) in round 1.by PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
QuoteEverett11 I know some of you guys have quality experience with lifting / weight training. I was wondering if i were possible for a slight guy like Tavon to put on 16 pounds of muscle in a year or so. I would feel so much more comfortable with Austin's durability in the NFL if he were packing 190 pounds on his 5'9 frame. That's the Steve Smith zone. Questions are.... 1. I know what he is capable of on the football field and the fit he COULD be with the Rams, which is why I had him mocked to the Rams at #16 pre-combine DUI. I did not want him at #16 or #22, but did never had a problem with risking him in round 2 (#46), just didn`t realistically seeing him fall that far. He didn`t make #46, but fell somewhere in the middle at #30, and also came with a 3rd &aby PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I could care less how the ball is spread out, as long as the yards and TD`s come and we score points and win games. I really like the group we have now, and feel it`s up to Schotty to come up with the game plans and mismatches.by PaulButcher59 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
How many bad decisions does one have to make before their character comes into question? The more passes these guys get, the more they push the envelope. If there were no character concerns surrounding him, he would have been long gone before pick #30, and possibly a top 10 pick (Buffalo #8). Every NFL team passed on him for a reason. Quotealyoshamucci Alterraun Verner . . but faster. Didnt have a spectacular or flashy season . . but Fisher knew he was the goods. I get the feeling that Tru could lose his spot . . My guess is that the Rams also may have had him rated a round higher than where he was drafted (5). The fact that they selected McGee over Stacy in round 5 kinda attests to that. He`s a Fisher type player, is versatile and Fisher can NEVER have enough DE`s. Snead has even talked in the past about building dominant positional units. Definitely not a position of NEED, but definitely at the top of their board at the end of round 1. With 2 #`1`s, going BPA isn`t always a bad way to go, even if its not a position of need.
