But simply that playing almost twice as much has to water down the PFF grades a bit. Murphy had a 91.6 or something. You add 330 snaps to that and he's not a 91.6. Also asks the question ... "If Newton had been given more help in rotation, would he have performed better?" I like Newton better than Murphy before knowing this. QB Good RB poor, with value late. TE Value late with a couple notable prospects that need the right fit. WR Really good top to bottom, possibly the best class ever. OT Good ... great at the top with dwindling depth. IL Above average with good depth value late. DT ... Weak class. Short area of value. Edge ... I think both Dead and I like Newton Better than Murphy. That said, Murphy had a ridiculous PFF grade. In my opinion, playing DT in the Big Ten is harder, and it's harder when your partner in crime isn't 360 lbs. Randolph was 315 and not as good as Sweat. I'm also pretty Newton beat his snap count by almost 200. Newton never had a rotation to fall back on. I'm all for trading down andby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com

That's me, not the NFL. Same thing with Newton and Murphy. Odds are, based on their attitudes, I'd also take Nabers and Odunze before Harrison. So no ... I wouldn't.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
"Please don't let him end up on the Chiefs" was what the other guys around the league were saying during the combine coverage.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
He's in my second mock version ... where latu is gone and we trade down to take him around 24. I'm starting to warm up to Fiske in the second if Latu is there and we go edge in round 1 ... If we sign T White, CB can wait also and we can go WR in the 3rd where there will still be notable talent for a #3 along with a thumper off ball backer or another DT like Duane Carter to control the LOS.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
And maybe it's possible. Often my guys end up sliding for whatever reasons, I just have to use my board or I feel like I'm cheating. That draft would be great. Same with McConkey ... I can't see him getting past the Chiefs in round 1. They need 2 WRs who are not expensive to afford Jones.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
I've kinda been studying these guys all year. Edge was a priority as was CB, so those positions got my focus early. They really are very very closely rated by me ... and I though it would be a little bit more spread out, but the combine kinda showed where their differences actually highlighted their strengths. No Front Office would do it any other way. I am not however familiar with how this injury affects this position. Seems like it would be minimal ... anyone?by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com

It's a good question. I don't have an answer. Especially since you can get them late. Both the Detroit kids (Rodriguez 6th and Barnes 4th) were high on my board. They just need to be able to chase and hit. Barnes sealed a playoff game with an INT. So I don't know. With an extra 3rd this year, and maybe another if we trade down in the first, seems like the year to get one higher. Paytby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Right ... If there's an injury to Kupp or Puka, I trust Robinson to play every snap for a game or two and be legit. Tutu can likely also hang as the 3rd for those games. If it lasts any longer, or another guy goes down ... we have a problem. I like out TEs better now that they're both young ... but you can get a legit 3 in this draft that CAN take over as a 1 or 2 when Kupp is doneby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Someone is going to be happy. Bengals took Iosevas last year in the 6th and gave him a redshirt. He still scored 4 TDs barely playing. McCaffrey doesn't need PT right off the bat ... but he'd likely be able to compete year 1. Again ... I go WR earlier because you don't often see what we're seeing this year ... but McCaffrey in the 5th, Brendan Rice in the 3rd or 4th ... Whittington in thby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it mote likely to have to choose between Latu and Arnold... But it's still Latu. The gradient changes dramatically for edges. There are going to be CBs at 100 I could start confidently across from DW. Everyone after Latu needs a year splitting time with Hoecht.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks 73 ... System has been refined over time, that's really all I can say. I think I honestly can blame a madden game lol. I didn't like the changes made and stopped playing ... then had extra hours and directtv allowed me the ability to record 5 things at once instead of 2. Lol.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
And I don't think we need to. Like RB, TE, S, quality starters can be had on day 3 if you scout well and know what fits your team. Also? I think Hummel can play. Just needs extra reps. Remember he's a 4.48 guy at 235. But that's the spot in the draft where you add those guys unless you have a gaping hole. Thing is ... I think we need extra second line help because we lost a front lby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com

It's a decent debate ... I first started thinking it out of the box like ... "It's not a need, so why wouldn't we totally do something surprising?" Why a high pick on a WR? I think at premium positions on an offense oriented (Passing oriented) team is WR. Just because the class is so strong it would be foolish to pass? Mocks 1.0 and 2.0 had to be destroyed over the past few days. This is the toughest mock season I've ever had. (Add in that I had to redo this because I finished before we signed Kam Kurl and redid Boom's contract but didn't post it) (edit in ... then AD retired and we signed JG so I had to redo it again) Now, after free agency, I can get it down to 2 mocks ... based totally on whether a topby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
I was in the middle of my mock when all this went down ... And I'm still in the same spot for my first pick Latu or trade down. But who I take after a trade down has changed. I'm more likely to take Murphy/Newton now... CB is deep. Guys I'm looking at for pick 83 are solid. WR is round 2. If Latu is there I still don't go DT/CB until the 3rd.
