The OL is a big question mark. Wells and Dahl are getting old, Saffold may not be here next year, and they don't really know what they have with the younger guys. There are two elite guards and one possible elite RT (who could probably start at OG) that could easily slide to 16. The league knows Saffold can play LT at a high level. One year at RT or LG, especially if he does well, will only enhance his value by displaying versatility. What he really needs to show is that he can stay healthy for 16 games - that's what will earn him millions. Given the logic of taking a couple of years for recievers to develop, we don't really know what we have in Quick and Givens. If the base offense is going to be 2 TE and 2 WR, does it make sense to invest two more draft picks at WR? Next year's draft is reportedely very deep at WR. They could very well draft a DT if one of the top guys slips. I'm all for building dominant lines with some depth. On the other hand, if one of the DTs does slip, it may also provide an opportunity to trade down a few slots. Among the reasons not to is that 8-8 teams will regularly make the playoffs. At the very least a team should have a winning record to make the playoffs. It can and has happened as is, but its a rare case. Add more playoff teams and it will happen too often.by CeeZar - The Original HERD

Can Saffold play RT as well as he does LT? If so, and if there is a starting quality LT avaible, then it would make sense to draft one in round 1 or 2. This would improve both LT and RT play and secure the OL against injury at LT. Saffold is also a FA in 2014. If he is the starting LT through next year, what will it cost to resign him? 40 degrees isn't cold. I workout outside at 6am twice a week it colder weather than that. Once you get the blood pumping your fine. The only problem will be if it rains and then it will only bother the passing game and not as much as you might think.by CeeZar - The Original HERD

Vermeil identified "those" players during his first year and got about replacing them over the next two years. Fish will do the same. The roster churn we saw last off season was based on talent as seen on film. Next off season, it will be based talent and desire as seen in the game, the practice field, and the locker room. Got back yesterday, brought home 14 birds. That was a BLAST. I can't wait until next year! I'd have to say that most of the walking was harder than I expected and most of the shooting was easier than expected - although there certainly were a few hard shots and lost birds. Rams vs. Defensive Ranking - 7 months ago
Rams are currently the 7th ranked scoring defense averaging 18.5 points per game. Amazing - all 4 NFC West teams are in the top 7 in scoring defense. I know we are all expecting more from the Rams offense, but they seem to be scoring more or less in line with their opponents' defensive rankings. He was really getting into his set quickly at the snap in pass pro. I don't know what his problems were in NY, but if it was a technique problem, it appears to be fixed. Campbell knocked down a pass meant for Richardson. That sucked. There was nobody within 10 yards of Richardson and the one guy in the picture would have been blocked by a WR. That was 20+ yard gain in the making. Quinn knocked down a pass where Finnegan had jumped the route. That was a pick 6 waiting to happen. On offense the linemen and SB played all 64 snaps. Kendricks played 57, Mulligan 26. Of the WR's, Amendola 49, Givens 46 and Gibson 38. SJ played 49. Nice to see Givens getting more snaps that Gibson. The ratio should continue to increase as Givens continues to learn the offense. Gibson is a decent depth player, but Givens has much more potential.
