Freeman has done an excellent job in a mediocre at best situation with little to no consistent play from his surrounding cast. His defense gave up 30 points a game last year. He had a rookie RB and a new WR and a new TE that both started coming on late in the year . . along with a new offensive system. Dunbar was very good at Will. . not awesome overall just "awesome for Dunbar's career" was what I was going for. Dunbar can play WILL. I dont know that Fish believes he can play SAM. So we have a big athletic kid to add to the mix . . One thing I think that gets missed, is that Ogletree played Inside in a 3-4. Its not like the Will is his position of specialty. Nah . . Bradford's first time in the same system . . young at RB is no sweat. Bailey and Austin and Cook are all pros . . Our defense hasnt really changed, and our offense has gotten way way better . . . We lost some really close games last year . . we could have been 9-6-1 really easy. What he can do is run and hit and make plays. They arent worried about that. As a result I dont think they are going to focus on that. If they were frightened of teaching him I think they would have out him at weakside and just told him to do what was natural. It was that good a year at safety. He has spectacular speed . . and is an amazing open field tackler . . but how many safeties were drafted ahead of him? 30? Seems like pretty close to 30 . . on out of every 8 players taken was a safety. Thats a LOT of safeties. I just checked, it was only 21. D'oh, so one out of every 11 players . . Stacy is a workhorse back . . perfect for the lead role in a time share with another change of pace back and receiving threat. I doubt Pead or Richardson goes anywhere this year, but the one that is gonna be with us for the long haul should be decided by the end of the year. I have my eye on Spencer Ware too. I think you may have misunderstood me . . Im looking at special teams. Ray isnt going to see a down at LB in Horns. I think he has a shot at making the team, albeit a small one, as an athlete that can play special teams. I believe athletes are valued in Fisher's system . . but . . he brought in a LOT of really good football players. Its true that with Ogletree and TJ it looks like he fits the system ideals . . But we also brought in Steward, Stewart, Cody Davis, Cannon Smith, and Darren Bates. The last of which is where I believe Ray will have his biggest fight.
