JMO, but I think we will look back on this draft and the one before it as pivotal events in the re-emergence of the Rams as an NFL power. I'm ready to give big hugs to just about everybody on this board, out of sheer joy for what the Ramsby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum

QuoteOhioRam Ok so we have Givins,Austin,Quick,bailey,Pettis----5th man main backup..nick johnson had a good preseason last year, you do no DA was a camp folder two right..along with London F who was a UFA so yes sometimes these guys can become players..also can use Cook as a wr in need be I am not saying they HAVE to take another WR in this draft but there are couple guys still available youby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Camp fodder both. And injuries will happen in this league. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!1by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Good value picks IMO. Rams are doing a very nice job in drafting highly talented players at need positions. That is the ideal combination: Talent at positions you need it most. Still good players available. Although we already have drafted two WRs I stilll have my eyes on Ryan Swope. Kid has a nice blend of size and speed and was productive in college. Corey Fuller is another WR with good mby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
My hope for the two third rounders is for Swearinger or Rambo plus one out of the remaining group of WRs Hunter/Woods/Swope/Rogers/Patton. Or if no WR in the third round then how about a guy like Corey Fuller in the 4th or 5th ? Good size and speed combination (6-2 and 4.34). superb job by Snisher. they got two excellent playmakers by wheeling and dealing to perfection. Though I am a little worried about Austins ability to stay healthy in this violent sport, especially given the fact he is returning kicks too, his talent and explosiveness is unmatched. Ogletree is an exceptional player too and only fell because of the DUI which I call a maturity problem that shouby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
turning this mess around that was created by previous regimes. They have brought in young and talented players and revamped the defense totally. They have built the kicking teams for years to come. Offense is looking to be on its way up too. And most of all they created an identy, brought back belief and confidence. The Long signing shows that this has not gone unnoticed by other players andby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Yeah we are so much better Set and deeper at WR than those Teams. Lol. Go Rams!by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
My vote goes to Patterson Austin will get smashed in the NFL. Patterson has more Potential Long Term Go Rams!by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
No , I am not oversimplyfing the WR situation. It is a FACT that we have only 3 WR on the roster who played last season. Your are not telling me the Rams will go into 2013 with them plus another rookie WR ?4 WRs that is ? If they do that the season is doomed already. Just imagine an injury or two or Quick needing more seasoning! Where are you going then ? Bring in some CFA WR or still unsigby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
but if you try and fail you have to try again and again until you get it right. And the perspective of going into 2013 with Givens, Pettis and Quick plus some more unproven rookies or low budget free agents is not to enticing. Everybody knows that (just for example) HB and Lloyd are not upper echelon NFL WRs but at this time of the rebuilding at Rams park at least to me they look a lot more pby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
QuoteNewMexicoRam Do you really think the FO and coaching staff are purposefully sitting on their butts, deciding not to address the WR position, hoping to let that be the reason they get fired next winter? I believe they are looking at ALL positions for improvement opportunities. It's going to be another year or 2 to see the results. That is what we are hearing for years now regarding thby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
True, but he is better than what the Rams have right now at WR. Same for Lloyd. I see both players as stop gaps until Givens, Quick and the rookie to be drafted soon can develop. Both guys have produced in this league. And that is what the Rams need for 2013 . Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
As everybody knows I have been rather critical of Sam Bradford but when the he§§ will they adress WR ? This has to stop. Now. Get the kid some proven weapons at WR. No one knows if Quick will come around in 2013 or if Givens can continue his nice progression. We all know that pettis is or should be a Nr. 4-6 . And there are NO guarantees that a rookie WR will do any better than Quick didby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Only if the Rams give him some more weapons. Cook was a good start at TE and Jake Long will provide him with some extra protection and time to throw but the WR unit needs 3 more players. And talented ones who can go out and make some plays. Preferably two veterans plus a rookie first round pick (Patterson/Austin). I have been critical about Bradford and his progress so far but the time has cby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
No need for Smith 2.0 Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
HB and Lloyd IMO would be the two ideal veteran WR this team needs. One is the speedster on the outside , the other a proven possession guy known to make tough catches. Rookies and second rounders could learn a lot from those two guys. Rams would be wise to consider going that route. If necessary restructure a few contracts (Bradford should be first in line since he will benefit most , Longby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Rams have to get something done on the WR front if they have any thoughts of challenging for a playoff spot or even the division. Personally I would even prefer two free agents plus one first rounder instead of two rookies and one veteran. A WR unit made up for example of HB, Lloyd, Patterson/Austin, Quick, Givens, Pettis would be a dangerous group. coupled with Cook and LK it would provideby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Still very young and some upside. If not him I would also consider Lloyd. Knows the system and the QB. However there will be more cap casualties and therefore the Rams might have some more options. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I would be happy if one of us falls to the Rams plus a veteran WR like HB . My dream scenario: Veteran free agent WR for a one year contract plus one WR in the first round plus another in the 2nd or 3rd round. With the other two picks out of the first four I would like them to go after S/OLB/O-line. From 4th round down I would go BPA all the way. I just see both Lloyd and HB as stop gaps until Quick gets IT and the Rams draft another WR next year. Yes, both Lloyd and HB have their issues but who doesnt that the Rams can pay and plug in ? Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I take those two over DA and Gibson every time. DA while certainly a very good slot receiver is too brittle to stay healthy and Gibson is, well , Gibson. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum

I could live with this very well. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I am all with RFIP on this one. It is time to provide SB with some weapons at WR now that the o-line has been upgraded with the Long signing and the TE spot with Cook. That is if we want to have any thoughts about challenging for a playoff spot or even the division crown. My best liked scenario: Rams sign Heyward -Bey and Lloyd for small money to one year contracts to provide some veteran leaby dodgerram - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
