I would be perfectly happy sneaking into the playoffs as a wildcard, getting hot, have Bradford come alive in the playoffs and lead the Rams to a Super Bowl in year 4 just like Eli. Seriously though thanks for posting that. It is sometimes hard to think about how some of the better QBs struggled early in their careers before breaking out. Hopefully Sam does the same. Both of them scared me last year and it turned out the way i thought. I knew our offense just wasn't good enough to hang. Hopefully that will change dramatically this year. I respect your right to have a different opinion. I too have wondered if Fisher will be able to abandon the "safe" offense to properly utilize Austin. However I firmly believe that Fisher is an extremely smart man and trust that he has recognized the changing landscape around the league. Hey guys just wanted to get your thoughts on my fantasy lineup. I have multiple guys on bye this week so my options are a little limited. I have to play 2 RB's, 2 WR and a flex. I have Steven Jackson, Doug Martin, and Jonathan Stewart available at RB and Danny A, Dwayne Bowe, and Victor Cruz at WR. Who should i play? The Rams are commited to JL at MLB. It would be a waste in my opinion to draft him and move him or JL to SLB. To many other needs on this team to draft somebody and put him out of position. So i looked up Jerry Rice's stats from his rookie year. He only started 4 games that season. Now he did have 49 catches for 927 yds and 3 TD's, so pretty good production, but it even took the greatest reciever of all time a few games to crack the starting lineup. I heard that on mike and mike this morning on my way to work. He obviously just doesn't like him because of his style of play. To be perfectly honest, before the Rams signed him, i really didn't know he was that good either. Getting away from individual player evaluations, i just wanted to say i really enjoyed watching the game yesterday. I mean we lost on the road to a 10-6 playoff team in the last 20 sec. About the only game i could say that about last year was the new orleans game. But even that game u knew the season was over anyway. Am i disappointed they lost. Sure. I really don't remember Givens doing anything special on returns. I thought Pead had a couple really nice ones. Almost broke one against, can't remember which game, maybe the Ravens? But i will rewatch all of them to see if i missed something with Givens. Pead has had several nice returns on kickoffs, he will be back there. Danny A will probably be returning punts just because he is so sure handed. However, i do think both Quick and Givens will be active and play a role. I think Fisher is going to do just what he said. Spread it around. While i agree that it isn't likely for the rams to win this game because Detroit is a very potent offense, it is possible. If the Oline can open some holes SJ is fully capable of toting the rock for 100+ yards and keeping the chains moving. I really believe that we may have 2 of the best DE's in football ( I know Quinn hasn't proven anything yet, but he just looks soooo good) and hopefully tby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum

With all the roster moves in the last week, it doesn't seem to fit the plan of just developing young guys to go out and get Garrard. What would happen to Davis then? Practice squad if he clears waivers? Outright cut? What difference does it make if he is a question mark. That's really what you would expect a coach who is confident and secure in his ability to get this turned around to do. That is what i loved so much about the Fisher Hire. Spags and Linny were both first time head coaches who were too focused on winning immediately to make a good impression and make their mark.
