I would be perfectly happy sneaking into the playoffs as a wildcard, getting hot, have Bradford come alive in the playoffs and lead the Rams to a Super Bowl in year 4 just like Eli. Seriously though thanks for posting that. It is sometimes hard to think about how some of the better QBs struggled early in their careers before breaking out. Hopefully Sam does the same. Both of them scared me last year and it turned out the way i thought. I knew our offense just wasn't good enough to hang. Hopefully that will change dramatically this year. I think you are right though, with an improvement in offense and the same or better defense, there shouldn't be anybody in the league that we can't go toe to toe with.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Great Read, Thanks for posting it. Man I am getting so excited about the possibilities with this offense. Just hope the reality lives up to the expectations.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I respect your right to have a different opinion. I too have wondered if Fisher will be able to abandon the "safe" offense to properly utilize Austin. However I firmly believe that Fisher is an extremely smart man and trust that he has recognized the changing landscape around the league. To have the ability to pressure defenses in multiple ways with Austin is just something that doesby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I have Aaron Hernandez at TE. I also have mjd and Alfred Morris but he is on bye along with rogers at qb. Tough week for me with the byes.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
49ers lead 62-61-2. LETS EVEN THIS THING UP!! Seriously though I had no idea that the matchup had been that close over all the years. That what makes Niners week so great.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Hey guys just wanted to get your thoughts on my fantasy lineup. I have multiple guys on bye this week so my options are a little limited. I have to play 2 RB's, 2 WR and a flex. I have Steven Jackson, Doug Martin, and Jonathan Stewart available at RB and Danny A, Dwayne Bowe, and Victor Cruz at WR. Who should i play? Obviously I am going with Doug Martin and Victor Cruz but what should i dby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
The Rams are commited to JL at MLB. It would be a waste in my opinion to draft him and move him or JL to SLB. To many other needs on this team to draft somebody and put him out of position. Remember Adam Carriker. I agree that Te'o is a great player but I just don't see it happening. If Brugler's draft happens that would be awesome!by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
So i looked up Jerry Rice's stats from his rookie year. He only started 4 games that season. Now he did have 49 catches for 927 yds and 3 TD's, so pretty good production, but it even took the greatest reciever of all time a few games to crack the starting lineup. Maybe Quick can start to show some things the second half of the season. He has got a long way to go and I certainly don't thinkby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I heard that on mike and mike this morning on my way to work. He obviously just doesn't like him because of his style of play. To be perfectly honest, before the Rams signed him, i really didn't know he was that good either. I just always thought he was a nasty, antagonizing kind of player and that was why people knew his name. I obviously didn't watch to many Titans games because he justby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Just saw on turfshowtimes that saffold practiced today. Great news! Hopefully he will play on sunday. Thought he really played well against detroit and was on the way to having a bounce back year.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Getting away from individual player evaluations, i just wanted to say i really enjoyed watching the game yesterday. I mean we lost on the road to a 10-6 playoff team in the last 20 sec. About the only game i could say that about last year was the new orleans game. But even that game u knew the season was over anyway. Am i disappointed they lost. Sure. But man they played with energy and most impoby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I love kool aid! Go Rams!by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
I really don't remember Givens doing anything special on returns. I thought Pead had a couple really nice ones. Almost broke one against, can't remember which game, maybe the Ravens? But i will rewatch all of them to see if i missed something with Givens. I agree he should be a weapon in the return game with his speed, but i just don't remember him showing it yet.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Especially on Jackson, I have him in 2 fantasy leagues this year! :thumbsupby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Pead has had several nice returns on kickoffs, he will be back there. Danny A will probably be returning punts just because he is so sure handed. However, i do think both Quick and Givens will be active and play a role. I think Fisher is going to do just what he said. Spread it around. Quick can be a big redzone target or when you need a slant or something to pick up a 1st down and i think hby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Take out Pettis, since he doesn't count. Probably Ganaway since he may not have a grasp on the O yet.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
While i agree that it isn't likely for the rams to win this game because Detroit is a very potent offense, it is possible. If the Oline can open some holes SJ is fully capable of toting the rock for 100+ yards and keeping the chains moving. I really believe that we may have 2 of the best DE's in football ( I know Quinn hasn't proven anything yet, but he just looks soooo good) and hopefully tby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
It was fun to look back and remember that season. It also makes you realize that no matter what the preseason predictions are, you just never know! Go Rams!by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Definitely wasn't trying to start any Bradford/Davis debate. Should have just stated my feeling that i would like to see what Davis had in the event of an injury and left it at that. No hard feelings.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
But i know i read one post in particular that was not sarcastic or anything negative towards Bradford and actually had something about Davis being the starter in the title of the thread. It was an outright call for Davis to be the starter. Maybe i took some of the negative Bradford posts and in my own head took that to be pining for Davis. I guess i just went to far with my use of the word &quoby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Pretty sure i remember people saying that. It was probably more in disgust with Bradford and in reference to him not moving in the pocket. All i was saying was that i am not some crazy person who thinks Davis should be a starter. I agree with you though, if they didn't think he was good enough to be there, why did they keep him and let Clemens go? That is all i meant, i just don't see theby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Sorry, did i use another word that is apparently outlawed on this forum? One of my last posts i used the phrase "Chicken Little" and had people jump down my throat. Ok so don't use "camp" and don't use "Chicken Little", got it. Are there any other words i am not supposed to use so in the future i can avoid those and just have people respond to the football part of myby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
With all the roster moves in the last week, it doesn't seem to fit the plan of just developing young guys to go out and get Garrard. What would happen to Davis then? Practice squad if he clears waivers? Outright cut? What difference does it make if he is a question mark. Its not like the rams are going to be in the middle of a playoff hunt and NEED a veteran backup that could win them a game dby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Tim Hightower. Not that i would be interested but wow. That kinda shocked me. Guess that Alfred Morris is the real deal.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
Per the post dispatch the Rams are picking up 1.55 million of Smith's salary so save no cap space. Man they must have wanted to get rid of him bad! Makes no sense to me.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
If you could go back and draft Darren Sproles in the 2nd round knowing what he has become, would you do that? Not an everydown back, but a heck of a weapon. Now i am not saying Pead is even close to Sproles right now but i think maybe that is what he could become. With all those top picks over the next few years, you can always get a feature back with one of those. Or who knows maybe we got anby Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
That's really what you would expect a coach who is confident and secure in his ability to get this turned around to do. That is what i loved so much about the Fisher Hire. Spags and Linny were both first time head coaches who were too focused on winning immediately to make a good impression and make their mark. Fisher doesn't have to worry about that and can concentrate on the long haul.by Headslap81 - Ramsrule.com Football Forum
